Training & Accreditation

After receiving her undergraduate degree at Texas A & M, Dr. O’Brien earned her MD from the University of Texas School of Medicine in San Antonio in 2002. She was elected to the prestigious medical honor society Alpha Omega Alpha. She then went on to complete a highly sought after 6-year integrated general, plastic, and reconstructive surgery residency program at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine before relocating to Oregon.

Dr. O’Brien is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and is affiliated with several professional organizations, including the American Society of Plastic Surgeons®, the Oregon Medical Association, and the Oregon Society of Plastic Surgeons. She is also a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.

Dr. O’Brien enjoys getting to know each of her patients as individuals and taking the time to understand their concerns and goals. Patients appreciate her unhurried approach and honest evaluations. She creates personalized plans to meet each patient’s goals and expectations. Dr. O’Brien finds balance through enjoying time with her husband and their 2 children.
