Following nearly 15 years of use by plastic surgeons in over 85 other countries, these next-generation breast implants received FDA approval for use in the United States in October 2024. PPSG surgeon Dr. Dan Zegzula participated in the clinical trials to bring these innovative breast implants to the U.S., giving our patients early access.
The Motiva® implant approval announced in October is the first new breast implant PMA approved by the U.S. FDA in over ten years. And in this case – newer really is better (and safer). With FDA studies reporting less than 1% complication rates, Motiva implants are setting a new safety standard.
